Things are moving quite fast for both students and faculty here at La Salle Academy, as the holiday season is upon us and many are rehearsing and getting themselves prepared for the annual “Christmas at La Salle” show, which is both bigger and better than ever this year.
The show, which is a very proud tradition here at the Academy, is revealed to friends, relatives, and students just before the holiday break.
As a Concert Band member myself, I can only give a hint to how big of a production it is. Typically, between three-hundred to four-hundred students (sometimes more) participate in the show each year who are either involved in a performance or act themselves or as a crew member. The acts range from singing, to playing an instrument, to dancing and performing. Some of these groups include the Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, the Dance Club, Chorus, Drama and Stage Crew, and many more.
If you have not purchased your tickets yet, please do so before it is too late! They are sold at a “first come, first serve basis,” and can be found at lasalleacademy.org under the “Arts” page in “Box Office.” Tickets are five dollars each and sell out quickly!
There will be two shows open to the general public on Sunday, December 18th. These include both twelve o’ clock and four o’ clock showings. As well as this, there will be a stage rehearsal for the entire school on Friday, December 16th. Also, the production will be shown to La Salle students and faculty on Monday, December 19th.
On behalf of the entire La Salle community, I wish everyone involved in this wonderful endeavor the best of luck and a Merry Christmas! Break a leg!
